Coolpad launched its latest smartphone Coolpad Note 5 in India last month. The smartphone is already available in the country for Rs. 10,999 via online retailer Amazon.

We are using the Coolpad Note 5 for some time now and today we are sharing our Hands-On First impressions of the device. We are also sharing the unboxing of the device.

Coolpad Note 5 Unboxing:

The smartphone comes in a white box. The box contents of Coolpad Note 5 are normal like any other smartphone. We are unboxing the Royal Gold color variant of the Note 5.

Coolpad Note 5 Hands-On First impressions:

This time the company has gone with the Full Metallic body for the Note series successor. Coolpad Note 5 comes with unibody design. The battery is non-removable. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support. It has hybrid slot, which means it can be either used as a dual sim slot or expandable slot.

Coolpad Note 5 comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD screen which translates to 1080 x 1920 pixels. The screen is good and had good viewing angles. The company doesn’t specify the type of scratch resistant coating but does says that it has scratch resistant coating. Note 5 comes with 2.5D curved glass display.

On the inside, Coolpad Note 5 is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM. For graphics there is Adreno GPU. With 4GB RAM in tow, the smartphone doesn’t disappoint. It performs well and handles multitasking efficiently.

On the camera front, Coolpad Note 5 comes with a 13 Megapixel rear camera which comes with LED flash. The rear camera comes with several modes like beauty mode, Night Mode and Pro mode. The rear camera is good and takes good photos.

The company has kept the selfie lovers happy with the Coolpad Note 5. For selfies, the smartphone packs a 8 Megapixel front camera. To make the selfies good, the company has added front flash. So if you are taking the selfies in night, you won’t need to find proper light to capture the perfect shot.

Coolpad Note 5 packs a 4,000mAh battery. It comes with fast charging support. The company bundles a 2A fast charger with the device. In our short usage, the battery easily last long over a day on good usage.

Coolpad Note 5 comes with Fingerprint sensor on its back side. You can add upto 5 fingers on the device. You can assign multiple features to Fingerprint sensor. The mobile phone comes with 4G VoLTE support. You can use the smartphone with Reliance Jio and other VoLTE network.

Coolpad Note 5 runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with a layer of company’s own Cool 8 UI. It comes with 32GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card.

In our Hands-on First impressions the Coolpad Note 5 performed really well. For the price of Rs. 10,999, it comes with good set set of specifications. We will come up with our detailed review of the Coolpad Note 5 soon.
