USB Type-C cables are gaining more attraction after Apple used it in its MacBook this year. Last month, OnePlus also launched OnePlus 2 smartphone with USB C-Type Cable. Samsung is now working on new Type-C cable for its upcoming smartphones.
One major issue with USB cables is that it can be inserted from side only. USB Type-C cable eliminates this issue and it can be inserted into USB port from both sides.
Samsung has started importing USB 3.1 Type-C cables into India for testing purposes. The import listing mentions that C-Type USB 3.1 connector is imported for Samsung mobile phones.
As per the import listing, Samsung has imported 4 units of USB 3.1 Type-C connector on 28 August from China to Delhi. Samsung will use the reversible cable in upcoming devices.
The next flagship device from the Korean Company will be Samsung Galaxy S7. The smartphone will be launched next year. The Galaxy S7 might come with USB 3.1 Type C cable.
