After several leaks and rumors, OnePlus unveiled the much-anticipated upgrade to the popular OnePlus 3. Dubbed as the OnePlus 3T, the smartphone is priced at $439 (approximately Rs. 29,900) for the 64GB variant and $479 (approximately Rs. 32,500). And, as you can notice a new change already popped out. Yes, the OnePlus 3T is also available in 128GB storage variant.
OnePlus officially hasn’t confirmed anything about the new smartphone’s availability in India, but rumors say that it will be coming to the country in the first week of December. That being said, OnePlus officially discontinued the OnePlus 3 as well.
The new OnePlus 3T comes with the same design as the OnePlus 3, but differs largely innards. Here are the five things that changed in the OnePlus 3T from the original OnePlus 3.
1) New and Upgraded Snapdragon 821 SoC
The first big change in the OnePlus 3T is the upgraded Snapdragon 821, which is also the quad-core chipset same as the Snapdragon 820, but is 10 percent more power efficient.
2) 16MP Front-Facing Camera
The OnePlus 3T comes with a 16MP front-facing camera, which is the biggest change when compared to the OnePlus 3’s 8MP front-facing camera. The rear camera, though, is the same 16MP camera.
3) Bigger Battery of 3400mAh
The OnePlus 3 came out a 3000mAh battery, which is a bit of a let down as its rivals featured bigger batteries. The OnePlus 3T, now, solves this issue and comes with a 3400mAh battery, which is 13 percent more than OnePlus 3’s battery.
4) 128GB Storage Variant
As said earlier, the OnePlus 3T comes in a new 128GB storage variant, which costs more 80$ than the normal OnePlus 3’s $399 price tag.
5) New Gunmetal Color
The OnePlus 3 was made available in the Graphite color, which was a huge hit. Now, the company announces a new color variant of the phone- Gunmetal, which replaces the Graphite color. Also, they promised that the Soft Gold version of the phone will be launced in coming months.
