Last month, Apple slashed minimum App price on Apple App Store to Rs. 10. Now Google has followed by reducing the minimum app price on the Android Play Store to Rs. 10.
Google Play Store App developers can now reduce the minimum price of Apps and Games to Rs. 10. As of now, Google has made the change for Indian users only.
The minimum price of Rs. 10 is available for both App price and in-app purchases. Play Store developers can take advantage of new pricing and attract new customers.
Google in a post said:
“India continues to be a major growth opportunity for developers to reach new users on Google Play. We’ve heard feedback from you — our global developer community — that you’d like more flexibility when choosing how much to charge for your apps and games in India.”
Indian customer can now buy premium Apps and Games on Google Play Store for as low as Rs. 10. Play Store comes pre-installed on all Android devices that comes with Google Services.
