Asus Zenfone 3S Max With Android Nougat and MediaTek SoC Launched for Rs. 14,999

The Asus Zenfone 3S Max, which the company showcased last week is finally official. The company announced the phone via a web media live streaming event. To be precise, the Zenfone 3S Max is the same Asus Zenfone 3 Pegasus unveiled some days ago, and in India, it will be the successor to last year’s Zenfone 3 Max.

The USP of the phone will be the 5000mAh battery, which has support for fast charging and reverse charging capabilities. The Zenfone 3S Max comes with a 5.2-inch HD display. Coupled with the massive battery and HD screen, the phone is expected to deliver wild battery life.

Under-the-hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 SoC, which is an octa-core chip with all the cores clocked at 1.5GHz. To manage the graphics, we have the Mali T860 GPU. Also, the phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with support for storage expansion up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.

Camera-wise, we are looking at a 13MP rear facing the camera with PixelMaster 3.0, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-LED real-tone flash along with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers. Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.

The phone boots Zen UI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Also, it is the first Zenfone to come preloaded with Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available in two color options: Black and Gold. It will be available via all offline and online retail channels starting today.
