Huawei Honor 5X starts getting Android 6 Marshmallow update

Huawei has started rolling out Android 6 Marshmallow update for its Huawei Honor 5X. The update is rolling out to International variant of the smartphone. The update will be released for other variants soon.

The Marshmallow update rolled out to Huawei Honor 5X is based on EMUI 4 UI. The new version of EMUI comes with several new features. The update is available for Honor 5X (KIW-L22) model number.

Android 6 Marshmallow update for Huawei Honor 5X comes with many features like Doze Mode, Now on Tap, App permissions, Do Not disturb, better battery management and other features.

Along with core features, the company has added many other features on Huawei Honor 5X with Marshmallow update like:

• Message Cancel: The latest update allows to cancel a sent message within 4 seconds.
• Compass: The new update adds the compass app by default.
• Alarm Ring time: Now you can select the alarm duration in six ways.
• Screen Recording: The latest Android 6 Marshmallow update adds screen recording feature on Huawei Honor 5X.
• Contact sharing with bar code.
• Indian language support with Huawei Swype keyboard: You can download multiple Indian languages and type the message in that language.
• Emergency SOS feature.

So these are the new features of Huawei Honor 5X added with Android 6 Marshmallow update. The OTA update will be rolled out to all devices soon.
