Karbonn, the India manufacturer has started teasing a new device. The device will be launched on 15 September. It will be sold exclusively on Snapdeal. The new smartphone might on Google’s New Android One OS which was announced during Google I/O event.
Google is also holding an event on 15 September in India, so the device coincides with Google Event. This further confirms that Google will formally launch Android One in India on 15 September. And from that only Karbonn will start its Android One powered smartphone.
The teaser comes with #NOHave hashtag. The teaser further reads:
If you #NoHave the funkiest, coolest, smartest, awesomest smart phone, then get ready to be surprised!

Android One powered handsets will receive updates directly from Google. OEMs can add their own apps. This is like Nexus devices which gets updates directly from Google. It will help manufacturers to seed latest updates without much lengthy process. All will reduce the cost of the phone.
Google will provide reference design to OEM which will help in reducing the cost of the phone. Android One smartphones will have Stock Android, Automatic updates and Play Auto Installs.
So let’s wait for September 15 and see at what price karbonn launches the smartphone.
