Lava Iris Atom 2 launched in India at Rs. 4,949

Lava has launched a new Lava Iris Atom 2 in India. The budget smartphone is launched in India at Rs. 4949. It comes with smart gesture controls and runs on Android Kitkat. The company says it will be updated to Android Lollipop.

Lava Iris Atom 2 sports a 4.5 inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) TFT Display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core processor with 512 MB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Mali GPU.

Atom 2 features a 5 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. It comes with  8GB of in-built storage which can be further expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.

Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 1,750 mAh battery which gives 6 hours of talktime and 161 hours of standby time on 3G network.

Lava Iris Atom 2 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat, which is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
