Micromax has become the third largest smartphone company in Russia. The Indian company now has over 9% market share in Russia as per the market research.
As per counterpoint market monitor research, Micromax now has 9% market share in Russia. The report is for Q4 2105(Oct-Dec). Micromax has grown by 350% compared to last year.

Micromax had entered Russia in January 2014 with the launch of Canvas Beat and Canvas Social. The company focused on launching budget friendly 4G capable smartphones.
Russia Smartphone market has seen increase of 8% yearly around 27% sequentially during Q4 2015. Although the market grew, but the shipments were remain flat with only 1% growth.
