Nokia launched its first Android smartphone, Nokia X during MWC this year. Nokia launched three model of Nokia X viz Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL. Nokia X went on sale in the first week of March in India while Nokia XL and Nokia X+ went on sale earlier this month.
The phone is barely three months old and reports about its successor are beginning to arrive. Reports are that Nokia is already preparing improved Version of Nokia X, rumored to be called as Nokia X2. And Now, The image and its AnTuTu benchmark have surfaced online.
The image of Nokia X2 has appeared on Chinese website Baidu. As seen in the image above, Nokia X2 will have bigger screen and it will have dedicated home button. Current Nokia X lacks the home button, it only has back button. Nokia understands the need of home button and is trying to implement it in Nokia X2.
The AnTuTu benchmark test results reveal the specification of the Nokia X2. The smartphone with the name Nokia X2DS (RM-1013) has appeared on benchmark website. The listing reveals the complete specification of device. The phone has improved processor and increased 1GB RAM. The phone also has bigger 4.3 inch screen.
Nokia X2 will have 4.3 inch screen with 480×800 pixel resolution. It runs on 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM. It has 5 Megapixel rear and camera and VGA front camera. For graphics, it has Adreno 305 GPU.
It has 4GB internal memory which can be expanded using MicroSD card. It is a dual sim device and runs on AOSP based on Android 4.3 Jelly bean.
Nokia is now owned by Microsoft, so the fate of Nokia X series smartphone is uncertain. As per the rumors the phone may be launched in 2015. It may also happen that the phone never gets launched.
