Aadhaar Card is mandatory for almost every government related work. There are many details on the Aadhaar card like Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Photo. While enrolling for the identity our Fingerprints and Iris is also scanned and data is stored securely on the server. The 12 Digit unique identity can be obtained from Enrollment centres located across country.
While enrolling for Aadhaar card, one may enter any wrong detail mistakenly or some details needs to be changed. Earlier you could update details like Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, Address and Language online. But now UIDAI has removed this facility and now only address can be updated online.
Now if you want to update details like Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, and Email ID on your Aadhaar card then you need to visit a Enrollment & update centres. Government has stopped the facility to update these details online.
With the online update facility, anyone can update the details on Aadhaar card at their convenience and that too without wasting hours at Aadhaar centers. Also updating online is free of cost but to update at offline centre, you will now need to pay anything between Rs. 30 – Rs. 100.
So if you want to make any changes on Aadhaar card, then you can only update your address online, rest can be updated at Enrollment Centres only.
