Design

Nokia X has a Matte finish on the back and on sidelines. Nokia X comes in variety of  eye catching colors. It is available in green, black, white, yellow, cyan and red Colors. Nokia is always known for better design and amazing build quality and Nokia haven’t disappointed with design quality.

Specifications

Specification wise Nokia X doesn’t offer too much. It has only 512MB which is quite low for a Android smartphone. Nokia X features 4-inch wVGA, it runs on 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor with 512MB RAM and Nokia X also has 3 MP rear camera. It also has MicroSD card slot by which memory can be increased upto 32GB.

Software and Apps

Nokia X users can download apps from Nokia Store and other third party app stores but Google Play Store. All google services like Gmail, Google Maps, Chrome, Drive are missing instead microsoft services like Skype, outlook, OneDrive are installed. There is no way to install Google services unless you root the device.

Nokia X runs on forked Android version. Many Android apps are compatible with Nokia X without any modification but some apps require modification which developers are already are working on it. Popular apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, viber, twitter runs on Nokia X without any problem. But there is a noticeable lag when all these apps runs in background. Because of less RAM, running several apps simultaneously hangs the device.

User Interface

Nokia X user interface is very similar to Nokia Asha series smartphones. Its UI is based on Fastlane interface. You will not find interface similar with other Android smartphones, instead you will feel more like Windows Phone type interface. Nokia X doesn’t offer Pure Android experience, instead it is highly customized version from Nokia. But User Interface is simple to use and you will not have any difficulty in using it.

Nokia launched Nokia X for Rs. 8,599. But Nokia X on online stores is available at a very low price. You can get it at Rs 800 less than original launch price. Nokia X is a good device but it has lower specification and doesn’t offer Android experience. There are many other alternatives which you should look before buying. Nokia X also offer good build quality which you will not find in cheap Android smartphone. If Nokia could have improved specifications then it could have been best smartphone in lower market segment.
