Samsung has released Android 6 Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy J5 in India. The update is released to first Galaxy J5 smartphone. The new update is rolling out to users in India.
The update is available via Over-The-Air update. Android 6 Marshmallow update is available for Samsung Galaxy J5 SM-J500F. Another device from the same series, Galaxy J7 is yet to get the update.
Samsung has released the latest Marshmallow update for last year’s Galaxy J5. The newer Galaxy J5(2016) smartphone is yet to get the new update, but it might it soon.
Android 6 Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy J5 SM-J500F brings new features to the device. It comes with new TouchWiz UI. The new UI brings several changes to the device.
Samsung Galaxy J5 gets new features like Encryption, Doze mode, App permission, double tap to wake and many more. The OTA update for Android 6 Marshmallow is around 874MB in Size. It is recommended to update it over Wi-Fi.
Samsung Galaxy J5 SM_J500F owners in India should get the update notification soon. If you haven’t received the update notification, then head over to settings >About > Check for update. It will be released in phases, so it might some time to reach all devices.
