So, the MWC 2017 is now just ten days away, and we have already seen a lot of smartphone leaks, which are due to be released at the mega tech show. And, this is just the start of the year, and every smartphone brand will be prepping to launch their flagship phones, which are now one-year-old ones.
Vendors such as LG, Samsung have launched their flagship series of phones a year ago. However, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S8 won’t be announced at the MWC 2017. Instead, it will be announced at an event on March 29, as per the rumors. That said, both the phones have leaked online along with complete specifications of the phone. Let’s take a look at what both the upcoming flagship phones will offer according to the rumors.
1) Display
Both the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature some drastic changes onboard. LG nearly confirmed that the LG G6 will feature a wide 5.8-inch display with an unusual resolution of 2780*1920 pixels. On the flip side, the Galaxy S8 might also feature a 5.8-inch screen and there might be a 6.2-incher variant of Galaxy S8 called as Galaxy S8 Plus.
2) Hardware
The LG G6 is confirmed to come with quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC aided with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. LG is going for the older Snapdragon 821 SoC as Samsung will be entirely using the first batch of Snapdragon 835 SoC for their Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The Galaxy S8 will come with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with the same 4GB of RAM and the Galaxy S8 Plus might get 6GB of RAM. Also, the fingerprint sensor will be located at the rear of both phones. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to feature 256B of internal storage.
3) Camera
The LG G6 will retain the same dual-camera setup as its predecessor, LG G5. However, the camera sensor will be upgraded. Apart from these details, there are not many camera specs revealed. The Galaxy S8, along with Galaxy S8 Plus does come with only a single camera, according to leaked renders of the phone.
4) Battery
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will retain the same battery capacities as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 7 with 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery as their battery capacity. Today, the LG G6 is rumored to come with an upgraded 3200mAh battery, compared to G5’s 2800mAh battery.
