2016 will be marked as the year where we witnessed several new things in the tech industry. In the same year, we have seen the first phone made by Google both in and out. We have witnessed the futuristic modular phones, rage in dual smartphone camera phones, rapid fast charging phones and so on.

As the year is coming to an end, we decided to compile a list of best smartphones released this year. Check out which device featured on our list.

1) Samsung Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge
Arguably the best Android phones ever. Both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are recognized as the best Android smartphones till date as an overall package. Having said that, the phones excel in their performance, camera, and stupendous battery life.

2) Google Pixel XL
The first phones manufactured by Google both in and out. With the Pixel range of phones, Google killed their trademark Nexus lineup. However, they will remain in our mind for their excellent camera performance and top on our list. The best modular phone. Motorola along with Lenovo got it right when it comes to modular technology. LG G5, the world’s first modular smartphone came out and gone very quickly as it has way too many compromises, but that isn’t the case with Moto Z. Along with that, the phone is regarded as the slimmest phone available right now at 5.2mm and it features high-end hardware.

5) OnePlus 3T
Although it released just a month ago, but it comes with some stellar hardware combined with Snapdragon 821 and 6GB of RAM. Also, the OnePlus 3T has the dash charging technology, which the best smartphone charging technology available right now as it charges the 3400mAh battery in just 85 minutes.

6) HTC 10
Probably the most underrated smartphone of 2016. The HTC 10 reminded us the old days of HTC. The Sense UI was optimized, the camera performance was top-notch as well along with the inspired battery life. So, the HTC 10 makes into this list as a decent all rounder.

7) Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Surprised? Maybe not. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the best smartphone the company has ever produced. And, the phone is widely regarded as the best online selling smartphone of the year. Priced at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 11,999, the company has sold out more than two million units of the phone in India.
