Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus with Snapdragon 625 SoC launched in China

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone under its Redmi series called Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. The phone is offered in two RAM variants, 3GB and 4GB RAM. The device comes with Full HD+ screen and is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus features a 5.99 inch Full HD+ ( 2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 2.5D curved glass Display. It is powered by a 2GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor with 3GB/4GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 506 GPU.

Redmi 5 Plus comes with a 12 Megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED Flash and PDAF. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera with LED flash. It comes in 32GB/64GB on-board storage options which can be further expanded up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.

Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth, Infrared sensor and Micro-USB. It packs a 4,000mAh battery. It comes with Fingerprint sensor on its back side.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based on MIUI 9. It is dual sim device with dual standby support, it has dedicated dual sim slot.
