Xolo One, which was launched in October last year for Rs. 6,599 is all set to get Android 5.0 Lollipop update. During the launch, Xolo has promised to push the Android 5.0 update for the device and now Xolo has announced that the budget smartphone will get Lollipop update on 16 January.
With this Android 5.0 Lollipop update, Xolo One will become the first budget smartphone to get the latest Android 5.0 update. Xolo One specs are similar to Android One devices and is also priced similarly. But still Xolo has managed to push the Android 5.0 Lollipop before the Google backed Android One devices could release the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update.

Xolo One features a 4.5 inch FWVGA(854×480 pixels) IPS Display which has pixel density of 218ppi. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MTK6582M Processor with 1 GB of RAM. For graphics it has Mali 400 MP2 GPU.
Xolo One comes with a 5 Megapixel BSI Sensor rear camera with AutoFocus and LED flash. It also comes with a 0.3 megapixel front camera. It has 8 GB on-board storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.
Xolo One connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, WLAN, GPS/AGPS, USB, and Bluetooth. It packs a 1,700 mAh Battery which gives 8 hours of talktime and 377 hours of standby time on 3G network.
Xolo One runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop on 16 Jan.

Xolo will release the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xolo One on 16 January. The update will be released via OTA update and can also be installed manually.
