Apple is all set to launch its new set of smartphones, Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus next month. The company will launch new iPhone on 7 September. Invites for the event are already sent.
Ahead of new iPhone 7 launch, Apple has introduced new 2TB iCloud storage plan. Earlier only 1TB iCloud storage plan was the maximum plan available for users. Now the company has doubled up the plans.
Apple has launched the 2TB iCloud storage plan for $19.99/month. Apple has not slashed the price of older storage plans. These plan rates are in line with Google Drive plans.
As Apple launching the new 2TB iCloud storage plan, the company could introduce iPhone 7 with 256GB storage. Current iPhone 6s (Plus) comes in maximum 128GB inbuilt storage option only but it could change with iPhone 7.
We may see the new smartphone with 32GB storage as the base option. Its high time that Apple should done away with 16GB as base variant. And this could finally change with iPhone 7 Plus.
Apple currently offers 5GB free iCloud storage to all users. The first paid plan is of 50GB, which can be subscribed at $0.99 monthly. While the highest plan available is of 2TB.
