Apple has launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on 9 September. Apple had launched two models of iPhone 6, one with 4.7 inch screen and other with 5.5 inch screen. It is the first time that Apple has entered into phablet market.
Apple started taking pre-orders for both models of iPhone 6 from 12 September. And now Apple has announced that they have received more that four Million pre-orders in 24 hours. It is a new record for Apple iPhone.
Back in 2012, Apple iPhone 5 has received more than 2 Million pre-orders in 24 hours. Apple has not announced last year pre-order number as iPhone 5s was not up for pre-order. But Apple did announced the weekend numbers which was around 9 Million combined for both iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.
Apple has not announced individual pre-order numbers but Apple has announced combined numbers for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Due to large number of pre-orders, shipping date of various models have been slipped to October.

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK beginning this Friday, September 19 and in more than 20 additional countries beginning on Friday, September 26 including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates.
Apple may launch the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in India on 17 October but it may not be final launch date for India as Apple has removed the launch date from Apple India Page.
