Gionee launches several new smartphones every year. One of the high end series from the company is the S series. The Slim series of smartphone comes with slimmer design and also packs top notch hardware.
The current smartphone under Gionee Slim series is Gionee Elife S7. The smartphone was launched in India in April for 24,999. Now the company is working on yet another smartphone under S series called Gionee S+.
The company has started some test units of Gionee S+ in India. The listing reveals the name of the upcoming smartphone. Earlier this month, a new smartphone with model no GN9007 had appeared on China’s certification website TENAA.
We think that the GN9007 will the Gionee S Plus. The smartphone also made its way into Geekbench test results, which reveals its complete specifications. Hardware wise, it looks like a mid ranger from the company.
Gionee S+ GN9007 sports a 5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Super AMOLED Display. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz Quad Core Mediatek 6753 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For Graphics, it comes with a Mali T720 GPU.
Gionee S Plus GN9007 will come with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 16GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card. It runs on latest Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Gionee S+ GN9007 is expected to be launched soon. It will be priced around Rs. 12,000 in India.
