Honor Play with Kirin 970 SoC, 6GB RAM launching in India on 6 August

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is all set to launch yet another smartphone under its Honor sub-brand called Honor Play. The device is powered by company’s own high end Kirin 970 SoC. It will be launched in the country on 6 August via Amazon.

Honor Play sports a 6.3 inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) 19.5:9 Full Screen LCD 2.5D curved Glass Display. It is powered by a 64 bit 2.4GHz Octa Core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 Processor with 4GB/6GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU.

Honor Play comes with dual camera setup, it features a 16 Megapixel primary and 2 Megapixel secondary rear camera with dual-LED flash, PDAF, CAF. For selfies, it comes with a 16 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 64GB in-built storage, which can be expanded via MicroSD card.

Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. It packs a 3,750 mAh Battery. It comes with fingerprint scanner on its back side.

Huawei Honor Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with a layer of Emoticon EMUI 8.1 UI. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.

Honor Play price in India will be around Rs. 20000 for base variant. It will be launched in India on 6 August.
