HTC has launched a new mid range smartphone in the desire series called HTC Desire 616. It was announced earlier this week in other Asian countries. And now it is launched In India. HTC Desire 616 is launched in India for Rs. 16,900. Last month HTC has also launched HTC desire 516 in India for Rs. 14,200.
The smartphone has better specifications compared to HTC desire 610. But the phone lacks Android Kitkat support, it runs on ancient Android 4.2 jelly bean.
HTC Desire 616 features a 5 inch HD IPS Display with 1280×720 pixel resolution Which has pixel density of 220ppi. It runs on 1.4 GHz octa core MediaTek MTK6592 Processor with 1GB RAM. For Graphics it has Mali 450 MP4 GPU.
It has 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card. HTC Desire 616 comes with 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. It also has 2 megapixel front camera.
HTC Desire 616 has connectivity options like 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It has 2,000 mAh battery. It is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
HTC Desire 616 runs on older Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean with a layer of HTC Sense 5.1 UI. It also comes with HTC BlinkFeed.

HTC desire 616 comes in cream and black colors. It is priced at MRP Rs. 16,900. It will go on sale in India from next week.
