JioPhone Specs revealed by the company, comes with 512MB RAM, 2.4 inch screen

Telecom Operator Reliance Jio will start pre-booking of its JioPhone from today. The device was unveiled by the the company’s chairman, Mr. Mukesh Ambani last month. During the launch, specs of the device was not revealed.

The feature phone from Reliance Jio comes with pre-installed app like MyJio, JioTV, JioCinema, JioChat, JioMusic and JioXpressNews. It supports 22 Indian languages – Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri ,Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

JioPhone specs includes torch, Headphone Jack, FM Radio, Voice enabled search (English, Hindi) Compose SMS, Search on Google. Open app, call connect and othe features. It can be connected to a TV using JioMediaCable and can watch 3-4 hours of content on Rs. 303 monthly plan.

Reliance Jio Phone sports a 2.4 inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) Display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Spreadtrum SP9820A Processor with 512MB of RAM. For graphics it has a Mali 400 GPU. Some of the units will also be powered by 1.1GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 Mobile Platform (MSM8905) with Adreno 304 GPU

JioPhone comes with a 2 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a VGA (0.3 Megapixel) front camera. It comes with 4GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using MicroSD card.

Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,000 mAh Battery which offers 12 hours of talktime and 15 days of standby time.

JioPhone runs on KAI OS. It is a single sim device and the box comes with a SIM Card.
