Lava has launched a new smartphone in India called Lava V5. The smartphone is launched in India at Rs. 11,299. It is a camera centric smartphone which comes with 8 MP selfie camera.
Lava V5 sports a 5.5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Mali T720 GPU.
Iris V5 comes with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera with LED flash. It comes with 16GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,000 mAh Battery which offers 14.5 hours of talktime and 261 hours of standby time on 3G Network.
Lava V5 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Star OS 2.0 UI, it will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
