Lenovo, the Chinese tech giant, has been unstoppable in recent times. The company is launching smartphones for fun. Days after launching the Lenovo K6 Power in India, the company launched yet another smartphone under the same K6 series in India, namely, the Lenovo K6 Note.
On the other hand, Motorola, the Lenovo-owned company is aggressive as well. The company bought the Motorola Moto M to India after its China launch last month. Ironically, both the smartphones are from the same company itself, but how do they differ? Well, let’s find out.
1) Display
Regarding display, both the Lenovo K6 Note and Motorola Moto M boasts of the same screen size of 5.5-inches and has the same resolution of 1080p as well. And, noticeably, both the smartphones have the same pixel density of 401 PPI. The display segment goes as a tie between the both!
2) Hardware
This is the section where things start to change a bit. The Moto M comes with a powerful MediaTek Helio P15 chipset with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. On the flip side, the Lenovo K6 Note comes with the Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 430 SoC, which is an octa-core chipset as well with a clock speed of 1.4GHz. Both the smartphones come in two RAM and storage variants- 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. Having said that, the storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. So, the hardware section goes with the Motorola Moto M.
3) Camera
The camera segment goes as a tie as well. Both the Lenovo K6 Note and Motorola Moto M comes with a 16MP rear facing sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. Lenovo devices never appealed us with their camera performance, but all the Moto phones released this year got our attention with their camera performance.
4) Battery and Software
The Motorola Moto M comes with a 3050mAh battery, which according to the company can deliver one day of battery life with heavy usage. On the other hand, the Lenovo K6 Note has a massive 4000mAh battery, which can withstand up to two days with heavy usage. Both the phones boot Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
5) Verdict
The Lenovo K6 Note wins the race regarding every aspect, minus the hardware section. The Motorola Moto M is not very far behind. In the pricing as well, the Lenovo K6 Note starts at Rs. 13,999 and the most important thing is, it is an offline exclusive model. The Moto M starts at Rs. 15,999 and goes up to Rs. 17,999 for the 4GB RAM variant.
