Micromax has released Android Lollipop update for its year old Micromax Canvas Unite 2 A106. The Lollipop update is released via Over The Air (OTA) update.
Micromax Canvas 2 was launched last year for Rs. 6,999. Last month, the company had released its successor, Micromax Canvas Unite 3 Q372 for Rs. 6,569. The company has now released Lollipop update for last year’s Canvas Unite smartphone.
The Android Lollipop update comes with build number MMX_A106_SW_V10_HW_V1.1_24042015. The FOTA update for Canvas Unite 2 is 412MB in size.
The update is usually released in phases and it take time to reach all devices. If you have not received the update then you can go to Settings >> About phone >> software update and check for updates manually.
Micromax Unite 2 A106 features a 4.7 inch WVGA IPS Display with 800×480 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core Processor with 1 GB RAM. It has 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card. It comes with a 5 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash. It also comes with a 2 megapixel front camera. It is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
