Lumia 540Microsoft has launched Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual Sim, yet another budget Lumia smartphone. The device is launched for $149 and will go on sale in India and other countries from May.

Earlier Microsoft had also launched Lumia 640 in India for Rs. 11,999 and Lumia 640XL for Rs. 15,799. Lumia 540 is also expected to hit the Indian markets next month. It will be priced around Rs. 11,000 in India.

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual Sim sports a 5 inch HD(1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD Display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Processor with 1 GB of RAM.

Lumia 540 comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera without flash. It also comes with a 5 Megapixel wide angle front camera. It comes with 8 GB on-board storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD Card. Microsoft is also giving free OneDrive storage upto 30 GB.

Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,200 mAh battery which provides 14.8 hours of talktime and 24 days of standby time on 3G network.

Microsoft Lumia 540 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. It will be upgraded to Windows 10 for mobiles. As the name suggests, it is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
