Motorola has scheduled a event on 13 May to launch cheaper smartphone. There were many rumors which suggests that Motorola will launch Moto E in various countries.
And Now, name of upcoming budget smartphone has been confirmed. The phone will be called as Motorola Moto E. The name has been confirmed from import listing from Zauba. Motorola has imported several units of alleged Moto E in India.
Motorola Moto E will come in Dual sim (XT1022), single sim (XT1021) and dual sim with digital TV (XT1025). However in India only dual sim XT1022 will be launched.
Motorola has started importing Moto E in India for Retail sale. The phone is expected to go on sale in mid may after device official on 13 May.
As far as specifications are concerned, Moto E will feature a 4.3-inch display. It will run on 1.2Ghz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It will have 4GB of internal storage. Rear camera will be of 5-megapixel camera. It will have 1,900mAh battery.
The phone will be dual sim device. It will come with 3G support. The device will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.
The phone is expected to be priced at Rs. 8,999. At this price point the device is sure shot hit. The phone will give very tough competition to smartphone priced lower than Rs. 10,000.
Motorola may sale the device through online retailer Flipkart. Motorola earlier launched Moto G and Moto X in India through Flipkart only.
