20140215-201414.jpgDual sim Motorola Moto G started receiving Android Kitkat 4.4.2 update in India. Last week international single sim variant received KitKat update. Now indian users who bought dual sim variant can get this update. Few days back Moto G was launched in India, by default it had Android 4.3 installed now latest android version is released for Moto G.

The update which is 230.7 MB large brings many other changes apart from latest Kitkat version. Google released Android 4.4 in October last year, since then it is only available on nexus series smartphones. Android Kitkat 4.4 was made for low end models having low RAM and slow processor. The update makes the device more smooth to operate and adds more stability.

• New Phone Dialler Application
• Google Hangout now supports SMS/MMS

The update also brings new photo editing options to the Gallery app, it adds new filter effects, allows to draw on photo, advanced cropping and adjustments to colour, exposure, and contrast among others. Support for printing photos, Google Docs, Gmail messages and other content via WiFi, Bluetooth using Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters is also added in the update.

Before proceeding for update, make a backup of your phone data. Notification for update should come automatically if connected to internet. If there is no notification for update then you can manually update the device by going to Home > Setting > About > Check update. It will display a popup for update, you can choose the downloading method like on Wi-fi only or Wi-fi plus cellular. Once downloaded, device will reboot and phone will be updated to latest version.
