Microsoft has launched cheapest 4G LTE smartphone, Nokia Lumia 638, running on Windows Phone in India. The Lumia 638 is launched in India on Amazon for Rs. 8,299. Earlier this year, Nokia Lumia 638 was announced in China and now Microsoft has launched it in India.
Microsoft had earlier launched its Microsoft store in India on Amazon India. The official Microsoft Store features all products from Microsoft including smartphone, Microsoft Office, Windows, Xbox and Accessories. Nokia Lumia 638 is first product which will go on Microsoft Store through Amazon.
Nokia Lumia 638 features a 4.5 inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS LCD Display at 221ppi. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Processor with 1 GB of RAM.
Nokia Lumia 638 comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera with no flash. It doesn’t have any front facing camera . It comes with a 8 GB on-board storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD Card. Microsoft is also giving 15 GB of OneDrive storage.
Nokia Lumia 638 connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 1,830 mAh battery.
Nokia Lumia 638 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan update. Microsoft has partnered with Airtel to give 5GB of Free 4G data for 2 months. The offer is available to Special 4G Postpaid users in Bengaluru, the offer is valid till 31 March 2015.
