Obi Worldphone has launched a new budget smartphone at MWC called Obi Worldphone MV1. The smartphone packs 5 inch HD screen and comes in 1GB/2GB RAM options. The smartphone is priced at $139 and $149. It will be available in select countries starting this month.
Obi Worldphone MV1 sports a 5 inch HD (720 X 1280 pixels) IPS In-Cell floating Glass protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Processor with 1GB/2GB RAM. For Graphics it has a Adreno 306 GPU.
Worldphone MV1 comes with a 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 2 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 16GB in-built storage, which can be expanded upto 64GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It supports both FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE bands. It packs a 2,500 mAh Battery.
Obi Worldphone MV1 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of Obi LifeSpeed UI. It comes with Hybrid slot, which can act as Dual sim slot or MicroSD slot.
