PayPal, one of the largest payment platform has announced an important policy change for Indian users. The company has changes increased its refund time period for Indian Merchants and consumers.

PayPalThe online payment platform has extended its refund period by 120 days. Earlier PayPal users can file the claim form in 60 days, now the platform has extended it by 120 days.

Now Indian merchants and consumers can file the claim within 180 days. The extended refund period will be applicable for all PayPal users and will cover both goods and services.

Anupam Pahuja, Managing Director, PayPal India said, “Ensuring smoother transactions in a safe and secure manner is key for PayPal. The extended refund period is another step towards improving the user experience and enabling them to manage refunds effectively thereby increasing customer delight. An extended refund window is a manifestation of our vision of being a customer centric organization and an enabler of smoother digital payments.”

With the extension, merchants will get more time to alleviate customer concerns and process refunds in a smooth and efficient manner. This will allow them to manage queries independently and in turn reduce the number of escalations thereby helping them to control their fund flow.

So now all PayPal users in India can file for refund within 180 days.
