TEAS Test: Key Details

The TEAS exam comprises of 170 questions formed from four different sections. These sections are Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Usage. These 170 questions come in the form of multiple-choice format with four options. The composite time to answer them is 209 minutes, or 3 hours and 29 minutes. The ATI uses these 20 questions on a tentative basis to see if they are worthy to be asked during the future exams. TEAS Test: Four Sections

  1. Reading: Itis conducted to assess the individual’s ability to read and understand the given aspects. These aspects include paragraph reading, interpretation, maps, labels, graphs, charts.The total time allotted to this part is 64 minutes, and the individuals are expected to solve a total of 53 questions in this time. The 47 scored questions are further divided into three parts:
  1. Mathematics: It determines the individual’s ability to data interpretation, measurement, algebra usage and also performance of numerous mathematical operations based on numbers.There are a total of 36 questions: 32 are scoring based questions and 4 are non-scoring ones. This sectionis divided into two sub-sections:
  1. Science: It is set to assess the individual’s knowledge pertaining to life science, scientific reasoning, human body, as well as physical and earth science. The questions asked in this part are based on these topics.The number of scored questions asked in this section are 47 and non-scoring are 6 making up a total of 53 questions.
