Sony has launched Sony Xperia A4 in Japan. The Smartphone is launched for the NTT Docomo Carrier. The device carries a model number SO-04G. Its specifications are very similar to last year’s Xperia Z3 Compact.
Sony Xperia A4 is now available for pre-order via Carrier website. The device will ship from Mid-June. There are no details about its global availability.
Sony Xperia A4 sports a 4.6 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Adreno 330 GPU. It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 128 GB via MicroSD card.
Xperia A4 features a 20.7 Megapixel Exmor RS rear camera with LED flash. Its rear camera comes with Autofocus, auto scene recognition, HDR, time-shift burst, picture effect and social live features, the camera can take 4K videos. It also comes with a 2.2 Megapixel front facing camera.
Its connectivity options includes 4G, LTE, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth, DLNA and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,600mAh battery with STAMINA mode.
Sony Xperia A4 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is dust and waterproof device with IP65/68 certification.
