Sony has launched a new mid range smartphone in India called Sony Xperia R1. It is an all new series which is exclusive to Indian market. The device is launched with a price tag of Rs. 12,990. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
Sony Xperia R1 sports a 5.2 inch HD (720 X 1280 pixels) 2.5D Curved Glass Display. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.5GHz Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For Graphics it has a Adreno 505 GPU.
Xperia R1 comes with a 13 Megapixel Exmos sensor rear camera with Dual LED flash. For selfies, It comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 16GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. It packs a 2,620 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia R1 runs on Android 7 Nougat which is upgradable to Android 8 Oreo. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.

Sony Xperia R1 price in India is Rs. 12,990. It comes in Black and Silver colours. It will go on sale in India from 10th November.
