As expected Chinese smartphone Xiaomi has launched its first ever smartphone under Google’s Android One platform in India called Xiaomi Mi A1. It is launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. It will go on sale from 12 September.
The device will be available in the country from 12 September via online retailer Flipkart and MI store. Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first smartphone from the company with dual camera in India. It runs on stock Android with Mi apps like Mi Store, Mi Camera, Mi Remote etc.
Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) LTPS 2.5D Curved Glass Display with a pixel density of 428ppi. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor Processor with 4GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 506 GPU.
Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with dual camera setup on its back side, it comes with a 12 Megapixel rear camera and 12 Megapixel secondary camera with Dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded upto 128GB.
Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct WLAN, Bluetooth, USB Type-C and USB Type-C. It packs a 3,000 mAh Battery with Fast Charging. It comes with Fingerprint sensor under its home button.
Xiaomi Mi A1 runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat under Android One. It will be upgraded to Android 8 Oreo by December 2017. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
