Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi is all set to launch a new phablet. The company will launch Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in China on 25 May. It has started teasing the launch of the device on its Chinese social channels.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 teaserApart from the launch date, the company has not revealed any other details about the smartphone. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be a successor to Mi Max launched last year. The smartphone will come with upgraded specs.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will carry forward the 6.44 inch screen size. If rumors are to be believed than the new phablet will come with bigger battery having 5000mAh battery capacity. The higher end variant of the smartphone might be powered by unannounced Snapdragon 660 SoC.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.44 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS Display with a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 Processor with 4GB RAM with Adreno 506 GPU. Other variant is powered by a 2.5GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 6GB RAM with Adreno 512 GPU.

Mi Max 2 comes with a 12 Megapixel rear camera with Dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage options, which can be expanded.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will run on Androis 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. It will be a dual sim device. It will be launched in China on 25 May. It could be priced around 1499 Yuan.
