Xiaomi, at their event in China today, announced a new and unknown Mi Mix smartphone with a bezel-less display. The Xiaomi Mi Mix uses the cantilever piezoelectric ceramic technology that replaces the ear piece.
The Mi Mix is the Chinese company’s first smartphone to feature a bezel-less display and it comes with a massive 6.4-inch (2040*1080p) display and it has a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. Xiaomi is packing the smartphone with powerful hardware and it has the quad-core Snapdragon 821 chip with all the cores clocked at 2.3GHz. Graphics in the phone is taken care by Adreno 530 GPU. Same as the Mi Note 2, the Mi Mix also comes in two variants- one with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and the other one with 6GB of RAM and 256GB on internal storage.
Camera wise, the Mi Mix comes with a 16MP rear camera along with a dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF technology. There is a 5MP front-facing shooter for covering up the selfies. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and boots Android Marshmallow laden with MIUI 8 on top of it.
The smartphone packs a 4400mAh battery and also has support for Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0. The Xiaomi Mi Mix costs CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs. 35,000) for the 4GB RAM variant. The 6GB RAM variant costs CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 39,000) and has an additional gold-plated camera ring and the fingerprint sensor is also limited to just this variant.
