Xiaomi has launched upgraded version of RedMi 2 called Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime in India. The smartphone is launched in India at Rs. 6,999. It comes with double RAM and double internal memory.
Xiaomi will be manufacturing the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime in India. The company has started manufacturing in India under PM Modi’s ambitious project, ‘Make In India’. The facility in Andra Pradesh is operational since last month and soon the company will manufacture all devices in India.
Xiaomi RedMi 2 Prime sports a 4.7 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display at 312ppi. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Adreno 306 GPU.
RedMi 2 Prime comes with a 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It has a 2 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,200 mAh Battery.
Xiaomi RedMi 2 Prime runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a layer of MiUi 6.
