Chinese smartphone vendor, Xiaomi has been in the news for a quite some time now, and all the news are because of the company launch of new smartphones every now and then. The Apple of China launched the Redmi Note 4 in India back in January, and it now looks like Xiaomi is planning to launch other Redmi smartphones in the country, as they push out media invites for an event to be held on March 20 in New Delhi.
The invite did not reveal what the company is going to announce, but we are expecting that Xiaomi might refresh their budget lineup of Redmi 3s series since it has been already six months they released the Redmi 3s and 3s Prime in India. Back in November 2016, Xiaomi launched the successors to Redmi 3s, the Redmi 4 series of phones in China and they might announce the same phones in India as well.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 series consists of four phones- the Redmi 4 Prime, the Redmi 4X, the Redmi 4, and the smaller of all Redmi 4A. However, rumors claim that Xiaomi might not launch all the phones in India. Instead, the company might launch only one or two products from the series.
We are expecting that Xiaomi might only launch the Redmi 4X in India as the Redmi 4 Prime features the same specs as the Redmi Note 4, whereas the Redmi 4 has same specifications as that of Redmi 3s Prime. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A has the lowest configuration than the Redmi 4 so we might not see that as well in a price and specs conscious market like India.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4X features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, clubbed with 3GB/2GB of RAM. The phone comes in two storage variants- 16GB and 32GB. The Redmi 4X has a 13MP sensor at the rear side of the phone and an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 and is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
Xioami might introduce the Redmi 4X itself in India with 2GB RAM variant called as standard Redmi 4X and the 3GB RAM option called as Redmi 4X Prime. These are just our claims, and there is huge possibility that Xiaomi might even not launch a phone at the event.
