Motorola has started Android Lollipop soak test for its mid ranger Motorola Moto E. Motorola has started sending invites for soak test of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update.
Several Moto E users in India are reporting that they are getting Android 5.0.2 Lollipop soak test invite from Motorola. The soak test will be released in coming days. Soak test is basically public beta testing in which Motorola extensively tests the update before releasing it to the public.
Motorola has already released Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto G First Gen and Moto G Second Gen. Moto X (2nd Gen) has also received Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India.
With the soak test going on in full swing, we may expect it be released soon. But it may take upto two months to release the Lollipop update to the public. As Motorola had started the soak test for Moto G in November last year and it was released to public after two months.
As far as specifications are concerned, Moto E features a 4.3-inch qHD ( 960×540 pixels) display which has pixel density of 256ppi. Its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM. It comes with a 5 Megapixel rear camera.
Motorola might release the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Moto E publicly in coming weeks. We will let you know once Motorola starts pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto E.
