Lava’s upcoming smartphone, Iris X8 is listed on Flipkart ahead of official announcement. Lava Iris X8 is listed on online retailer for Rs. 8,999. It is currently listed as Out of Stock. Lava may launch the device officially in coming days.
Lava Iris X8 is successor to Lava Iris X5 which was launched in September last year. It comes with 3 Megapixel front facing camera instead of 5 MP camera found in its predecessor.
Lava Iris X8 sports a 5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Asahi Glass IPS Display. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa core MediaTek 6592M processor with 2 GB of RAM.
It features a 8 megapixel BSI 3 Sensor rear camera with Dual LED Flash and a 3 megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB of in-built storage which can be further expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.
Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,500 mAh battery which gives 9 hours of talktime on 3G network. It is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
Lava Iris X8 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. It is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
