Apple has released iOS 9.3.5 update for compatible iDevices. The update is released for iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. This will be last update of iOS 9 released by the Cupertino company.
Apple is already testing the next version of operating system, iOS 10. It is already under developer and public beta testing. iOS 10 will be released to general public next month.
The new iOS 9.3.5 update patches a critical security bug which is patched in the latest update. Apple has confirmed that the vulnerability has been fixed in latest iOS 10 beta.
The security exploit which was discovered by Israel based company. The company was able to read contacts, emails, text messages, track user locations, record sounds and many more.
This critical bug affected all earlier versions of iOS 9 and Apple has fixed the patch in latest iOS 9.3.5. Apple has advised all users to immediately update to iOS 9.3.5.
It is unclear whether the critical bug existed in iOS 8 or not. As per Apple, 87% of devices runs on iOS 9. So this must not be an issue with earlier versions of iDevices.
