Popular online marketplace eBay India , which is leading marketplace in India has started 9 hour delivery in India. Currently service is available in Mumbai only. Many other retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal , Tradus and Amazon are already offering same day delivery in India. eBay India launched this service from Today.
eBay India Business head Vidmay Naini said “The ‘9 Hour Delivery’ concept gives consumers a faster and improved shopping experience. This is the first phase of the service, which is available to our Mumbai customers on popular technology product categories and will be scaled to key cities in India in a few months. The service is a good option for convenience oriented savvy shoppers who are in a hurry to get their hands on their favourite gadgets”
This service will be available at free of cost. There will be no extra charge for this service. At This time only popular tech products like Camera and mobiles are only available for this service. EBay has launched a microsite for this service.
Users can visit www.ebay.in/mumbai and check which products are available for this service. If you order before 12pm then you will get the product before 9pm on the same day. If you order after 12PM then product will be delivered next day.
Other marketplace Snapdeal and Tradus have earlier started similar service. They have started express delivery some days back. But they are offering the service in Delhi and Gurgoan. They are also offering the service free of cost.
Now all major marketplace are offering similar service. But all this service are currently offered in Metro cities only. But in future we may see this service to be started in Pan India basis. Currently this service is in trial basis after successful testing and trial we may see this service in Pan India.
