Gionee has announced that it has started pushing Android 6 Marshmallow update for Gionee Elife S6 in India. The update is being rolled out via Over the Air (OTA) update.
The latest OTA update brings Android 6 Marshmallow based on Amigo 3.2UI on Gionee S6. The update will be rolled out in phases and might take time to show up on all devices.
The update comes with many new features like ‘Private Space’ option which gets activated by sliding down with two fingers on the desktop along with an ‘application option’ in private space.
Android 6 Marshmallow update brings following features on Gionee S6:
· Added abroad service with apps like Flipkart, Saavan and True Caller
· Updated fleet on in-house apps like: Ami Locker, System manager, Weather, Clock, Calculator, Notes, Gallery, Theme park and Chameleon
· Launcher arrange function along with optimized recent apps in two different style – native and card style
· New camera plugins: Mood Photo, Time-lapse & text recognition
· Beautify feature in video recording
So if you have Gionee S6 then you can update your smartphone to Android 6 Marshmallow. If you have not received the update notification then you can manually check for updates in settings.
