Flip smartphones are not dead yet, Ginone will launch a new Flip smartphone called Gionee W909. The Clamshell W909 will come with dual screens. The phone can be operated using both screens.
Gionee W909 will be launched in China on 29th March. The phone will come in 2GB and 4GB RAM options. It is expected to be priced around 3,599 CNY (Rs. 37,000). It will come in Gold color option.
Gionee W909 features a 4.2 inch Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) dual Displays protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.8 GHz Octa core MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 Processor with 2GB/4GB of RAM. For Graphics, it comes with a Mali T-860 GPU.
Gionee Clamshell W909 comes with a 16 Megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED Flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 32GB/64GB on-board storage options, which can be further expanded upto 128GB using MicroSD Card.
Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. The 4G enabled smartphone supports both TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE bands. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging support. It has fingerprint scanner on its back side.
Gionee W909 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of Amigo 3.2 UI.
