HTC Butterfly 2HTC has launched a new device in the Butterfly series at an event in Tokyo. HTC Butterfly 2 comes with polycarbonate body and it runs on Android Kitkat.

HTC Butterfly 2 comes with dual front facing stereo speakers with built in amplifiers. It has HTC BoomSound technology. It’s specification is similar to HTC One M8 but its design is different.

HTC Butterfly 2 has polycarbonate plastic body instead of metallic body. It also have duo camera setup but it has 13 megapixel rear camera instead of 4 ultrapixel camera found in HTC One M8. It’s body is dust and water resistant with IPX5 / IPX7 certification.

HTC Butterfly 2 features a 5 inch Full HD Super LCD 3 Display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on 2.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Processor with 2 GB RAM. For graphics it has Adreno 330 GPU.

HTC Butterfly 2 comes with 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. The rear camera comes with Duo Camera setup. It also has 5 megapixel front camera. It comes in 16/32 GB internal memory options, which can be further expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD Card.

HTC Butterfly 2 has connectivity options like 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and Micro-USB. It has 2,700 mAh battery which gives 23.9 hours of talktime and 643 hours of standby time.

HTC Butterfly 2 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box with a layer of Sense 6.0 UI. The phone also comes with power saving mode which can keep the phone alive for two weeks.

HTC Butterfly 2 comes in Electric crimson, Polar White, Misty Gray and Maldives Blue colors. It will go on sale in Taiwan starting from 2 September. It will be rolled to other Asian countries including India in coming months.
