As we reported yesterday regarding the launch of Honor 6X, the company today pulled the wraps of the smartphone in China along with a couple of other products as well. The Honor 6X will be the successor to last year’s Honor 5X and comes with an affordable price tag as well.
Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, it comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a curved 2.5D glass on the front, which makes the smartphone look much premium. The Honor 6X is powered by the company’s own Kirin 655 SoC, which is an octa-core chip with four cores clocked at 2.1GHz and the rest four clocked at 1.7GHz. The graphics department will be taken care by the Mali T830-MP2 GPU and the smartphone comes with 3GB/4GB RAM and has 32GB/64GB onboard storage with microSD card support.
Camera wise, there is a 12MP rear camera with six-piece lens and PDAF technology. And, the second camera on the rear is of 2MP and Huawei haven’t talked much about this secondary camera. Up front, there is an 8MP sensor for covering up selfies.
In terms of design, the Honor 6X is almost similar to the Redmi Note 3 and has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The smartphone is priced at 999 yuan (approx. Rs. 10,000) for the 3GB/32GB variant and 1299 yuan for the 4GB/64GB variant The smartphone will go on sale from October 25 and is already available up for preorder.
Honor Pad 2
Along with the Honor 6X, the company also unveiled a new tablet- the Honor Pad 2. The Honor Pad 2 also comes in two variants- one with 3GB RAM/16GB storage and the other one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage. There is also a separate LTE variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Honor Pad 2 comes with an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1920*1200 pixel.
The tablet comes with the octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The Honor Pad 2 boots Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the company’s own EUI on top of it. In the camera department, the device comes with a 8MP rear camera with support for an LED flash and there is also a 2MP front-facing camera. The Honor Pad 2 is priced at 999 yuan (approx. Rs. 10,000) for the base model and 1499 yuan (approx. Rs. 15,000) for the LTE variant.
Honor Watch S1
As said earlier, the sub-brand Honor has also launched added a new wearable to their product lineup. The company, for the first time introduced a new wearable under the Honor lineup. Dubbed as the Honor Watch S1, it has a circular dial and is light at 35 grams.
The Honor Watch S1 can be paired with any Android device running Android 4.4.4 KitKat and above. On the flip side, it can be paired with any Apple device running iOS 8 and above. As seen on the Huawei Watch, the Honor smartwatch can be controlled with the dedicated Huawei Fit app, which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and App Store.
The Watch S1 comes with a heart rate sensor and the company claims that it will offer a battery life of up to six days and has a 80mAh battery. It is priced at 699 yuan (approx. Rs. 7,000).
