The ninth edition of IPL has eight teams. League matches have been started from today. The 50 day tournament kicks off today from Mumbai.
The first IPL 2016 match is being played between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and new team Rising Pune Superstar (RPS).
The first match is taking place in Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium. Mumbai Indians is batting first while Rising Pune Superstar is bowling first.
