A year after launching Official app for Windows Phone, IRCTC has launched much awaited Android app. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has launched IRCTC connect app on Google Play Store.
The app allows users to book train tickets from app itself. Users can search for trains, routes and get fare details. Users can login through IRCTC login credential and access the app features.
IRCTC Connect allows users to view and cancel the journey tickets. It also provides upcoming journey alerts through notification. Users can add passenger details so that they can book tickets with little effort.

IRCTC Connect doesn’t allows to book tickets between 8AM and 12AM as government has blocked online booking of tickets during 8 to 12 AM period.
The Android is compatible for Android devices running on Android 4.1 and up. The size of app is 11MB. you can download the app from Google Play Store. Now, IRCTC is availble on Windows Phone and Android platform, only iOS application is due.
